FAQs

Do you accept checks for closing?

No, we do not accept checks for closing. For your protection and ours, all closing funds must be wired. When completed properly, wire transfers are the safest and most reliable method to ensure funds are received on time and securely.

Can I pay the deposit with a check?

Yes, we accept checks for deposits, but only if the closing is scheduled for at least 10 days out. This allows sufficient time for the funds to fully clear before the closing date.

BE ON GUARD, WIRE FRAUD IS REAL. Every day, hackers try to steal money by emailing fake wire instructions. Criminals will use a similar email address and steal logos and other information to make it look like the email came from your real estate agent, attorney, title company, or settlement agent. You can protect yourself and your money by following these steps:

  1. Call, Don’t Email. Confirm your wire instructions by phone using a known number before transferring funds. Don’t use numbers or links from an email.
  2. Be Suspicious. It is uncommon for escrow companies to change wire instructions and payment information via email alone.
  3. Confirm Everything. Ask your bank to confirm the name on the account before sending a wire.
  4. Verify Immediately. Within 4-8 hours, call the escrow company to confirm they received your money.
